Level-Up Your Curb Appeal

During the home selling process, one of the most important moments you can provide to potential buyers is a spectacular first impression. Homes with high curb appeal traditionally sell for up to 7% more than similar homes with less-maintained exteriors. With that in mind, here are some tips to make your home the most appealing it can be!

1. Upgrade your LandscapingGood landscaping makes more of a difference than people think. It is one of the first things people will notice about your home, and often, the little details will make or break a first impression. Hiring a landscaper can be expensive, but there are plenty of little things you can do yourself which will make your home dazzle potential buyers! Keep the lawn mowed, make sure you trim or remove scraggly branches from your trees and shrubs, add planter boxes for instant pops of color, and add a fresh layer of mulch to your beds.

2. Clean Everything - Driveway, Windows, & Siding

Sometimes, we get so used to looking at our homes, we tend to miss some things. If you haven't checked in a while, look to see if your driveway has any oil stains or streaks. Typically, those can be removed with a power washer. Your windows and siding are also good things to consider washing while you're at it. Typically, you can hire a professional window cleaner for around $200. And then you get more light into your home - a win-win!

3. Give Your Front Door Some Love

It's amazing what a fresh coat of paint can do for your well-loved entryway. Spruce up your front door, or if that isn't an option, consider replacing it altogether. Give your entryway a brand new look!

4. Add Furniture & Swap Out Dated Fixtures

Have you slowly grown to hate the old lighting fixtures outside your home? Now is the best time to change them out for something new! Does your front porch look a little sad? Add some patio furniture! One of the most crucial functions of home-showing is allowing buyers to get a feel of what it would be like living in the space. Vacant homes can feel disconnected and sterile, but just adding some chairs on your patio can make the whole home feel more inviting.
